The use of performance-enhancing drugs has been around for a long time in sports, so there is plenty of information out there about who, what, where and how they are used. Pick two of the following research questions, and present your findings to your class in the form of a lecture. You could use visual aids such as posters, slides, or videos to help explain your findings.
• Were performance enhancing drugs used by the ancient Greeks?
• Have athletes from certain countries been linked to performance enhancers more than others?
• How has drug testing evolved to limit the use of these drugs?
• Canada has one of the strictest drug-testing programs in the world. Has it helped to discourage the use of these drugs among Canadian athletes? Is it possible to cheat the system?
