In this program, students will look at the role of coaches and others who support athletes in reaching their goals. They'll also check out the variety of careers available within the sports industry, and learn about how sports teams are often businesses as well, and need to market themselves and make a profit to survive.

• Identify mentors and resources to support career plans.
• Set and modify goals to develop personal fitness and motor abilities.
• Plan and participate in personal fitness and activity programs, using the principles of training.
• Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour while working co-operatively in group activities.
• Demonstrate etiquette and fair play.
• Identify and demonstrate positive behaviours that show respect for individuals' potential, interests, and cultural backgrounds.
• Describe and apply leadership skills related to physical activity.
