Project 6 — Advocate for cheaper tickets (Grades 4-6, 7-9)

It's not cheap to sit in the stands at a sporting event. When was the last time you or your family went to a professional sporting event? Can you remember how much tickets to an event like an NHL hockey game cost? How does that cost compare to the price of a movie ticket? Do you think the admission prices for sporting events could be discouraging fans from attending? Write a letter to the owner of a sports club, and argue the case for a cheaper ticket price for games. Explain how a cheaper ticket would actually benefit the club in the long run.
