HOW EDUCATION2010.CA WORKS

Channels
The Education2010.ca website is broken up into three learning channels: Channel 1 Athlete, Channel 2 Sports & Channel 3 Culture. These channels combine Olympic experience and Olympic values with a wide range of curriculum-based projects, media, and resources to create an exciting learning environment for teachers and students. Each Channel contains a Lead Story, links to other related websites and resources, and one or more Programs.

Programs
Each Program consists of one or more curriculum-based projects that explore specific topics corresponding to the theme of that Channel.

Project Rooms
Every Program consists of a Project Room designed to accommodate active participation of the student, learning in a variety of ways and at different rates and learning for both individual and a group processes. This is achieved through multimedia presentations, projects and additional outside Internet resources.

Teacher's Zone
This section provides teachers with an overview of the learning outcomes associated with each program. They set out the knowledge, enduring ideas, issues, concepts skills, and attitudes for each program. The learning outcomes are statements of what students are expected to know and do at an indicated grade; they comprise the prescribed curriculum. You will also find additional links to the B.C. Ministry of Education website for related provincially recommended learning resources.
