We all dream about what we are going to do when we "grow up" — I'm going to be the lead singer of a famous band, volunteer with Doctors without Borders in Africa, sail around the world, discover ancient civilizations, raise three perfect kids, develop the coolest computer game, and win a gold medal at the Olympics. These are all great dreams.
Stacy Kohut dreamed about winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Stacy played hockey and was a cyclist, skate boarder, hockey player, and competitive BMX racer. That was before the accident that left him a paraplegic.
Today Stacy is considered one of the world's fastest sit-skiers. He won the Super G gold medal in 1994 at Lillehammer — Canada's only gold medal at those Winter Paralympic Games. And he has continued to compete and win since Lillehammer. Listen to what he has to say about competition, his wheelchair, and what it takes to be the best in the world.
