Education2010.ca began as a research and development project of the Open Learning Agency. 2010 LegaciesNow embraced the project as a partnership initiative and the final prototype site was developed by the Open Learning Agency in collaboration with Circle Productions, the Laurier Institution, and 2010 LegaciesNow. The Canadian Olympic Committee, the ESTEEM Team, and the New Media Innovation Centre have also contributed to the development and delivery of Education2010.ca.
Education2010.ca is a prototype and a work in progress. Phase 2 of the project will be completed later in 2003 at which time the site will also include:
• Downloadable versions of all programs in French and English
• More educational learning programs to experience
• More great links to educational websites
• More outstanding resources and tools for students and teachers

2010 LegaciesNow
Developed by the Province of British Columbia and the Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation and its supporters, the 2010 LegaciesNow Society provides opportunities for people to reach for their dreams and more. 2010 LegaciesNow is a commitment to province-wide sport development that will put athletes on the podium and leave a lasting legacy for all of B.C.
The concept — developing a sport legacy in the years prior to an Olympic and Paralympic Games — is a world first and was integral to Vancouver being chosen in 1998 as Canada's applicant city for 2010. As British Columbia looks toward 2010, LegaciesNow is both helping young people in communities all over the province discover the enjoyment of physical activity and promoting sport development programs that take athletes from the playground to the podium.
